The Project Advisor (PA) is a key sales role responsible for guiding prospective customers through COCOON’s 3-stage design-build process: Plan It, Design It, and Build It. Using the Sandler Selling System, the PA converts marketed leads into signed agreements, represents customer visions to the design team, and ensures a smooth handoff to production. This role requires a balance of sales expertise, relationship-building, and project coordination to deliver an exceptional customer experience.
What You’ll Do
Lead Conversion and Home Visits (HVs):
- Attend qualified Home Visits generated from marketed leads to present COCOON’s process and values.
- Use the Sandler Selling System to build trust, uncover customer needs, and close the Design Agreement (DA), securing a fee based on project scope and size.
- Clearly articulate the value of COCOON’s design-build process to align with customers’ dreams, needs, and wants.
Customer Representation and Design Collaboration:
- Serve as the customer’s advocate, communicating their initial intentions, dreams, and requirements to the Design Team, including architectural designers, drafters, master carpenters, builders, and interior designers.
- Facilitate the ABC Meeting at COCOON’s design studio, where customers review three tailored plans (A, B, and C Plans) created by the Design Team.
- Ensure clear and consistent communication between customers and team members during the Plan It and Design It stages.
Sales Progression and Agreements:
- Secure the Design 2 Agreement (Stage 2) with an additional fee, advancing the project from big-picture design to detailed planning.
- Close the final Contract Signing (Signing into Construction), transferring full responsibility to the Production Team and assigned Project Manager.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, agreements, and project progress.
Team Coordination and Handoff:
- Introduce customers to relevant team members (e.g., designers, drafters, project managers) at key project milestones.
- Ensure a seamless handoff to the Production Team upon contract signing, maintaining customer confidence and satisfaction.
Experience
- Proven sales experience, preferably using the Sandler Selling System, with a track record of closing high-value deals.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to build trust and rapport with customers and team members.
- Ability to understand and articulate customer needs to a multidisciplinary design team.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple leads, home visits, and project handoffs simultaneously.
- Knowledge of the home remodeling, construction, or design industry is a plus.
- Passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences aligned with COCOON’s values.
- Proficiency in CRM tools and basic project management software.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
